Running Again

Yup… I’m Running Again! Some of you know that last year, I started to run again and train for a 5K. We ran “Race for the Cure” in Fayetteville last year and it was a TON of fun. YEARS ago, I was marathon training and then a piece of my knee fell off and I had to have surgery and all of that jazz, so I didn’t run for a LONG time (until last year).

When we started out that training process, I set a Goal of running the Race for the Cure 5K. Well, I did that, but I didn’t have any other goals lined up after that, other than a Marathon… one day. Well, this time, I’ve set a LIST of goals to complete on my way to a marathon!

On the left of this page you will see a link to my “run log“. I’d post running updates at Ray&Katie.com, but I think some of you may get tired of reading running stuff and it would fill the blog with training posts. I will probably copy race day posts into this blog. On the run log, I have posted my plan & my progress so you can keep up with where I am in my training and how things are going.
I’ve wanted to complete a marathon for about 6 years and I feel that I’m finally at a place that I can begin to pursue that goal again. Your prayers and support are appreciated! If you would like to join me on any of the above races, just let me know! I’d also love training partners. I don’t run fast! I’m super slow. If you are faster, feel free to run ahead and we can chat at the end of the run. I’m not great at talking while I run anyway. I get too busy trying to breathe!
