Universal Climate Change?

Many of you know that for a LONG time, I’ve been a proponent of conservation because I love the natural beauty of the earth. However, I’ve also been whole heartedly against the Global Warming theory because of the lack of scientific evidence necessary to support it mixed with the hype that is causing our government to get bigger by regulating our lives with a “green initiative”.

On May 23rd of this year (2008), there was news that Jupiter has another new red spot (storm) and scientist think this is because of a “climate change” taking place on Jupiter. They think it is getting warmer. Ok, so it’s just a coincidence that our climate has warmed a little and so did Jupiter’s? Right?

Today, May 27th, a report was released saying that some of the ice on Mars has melted. Still a coincidence? Jupiter, Mars and Earth have all warmed a little in the last several years. Maybe it has to do with that giant, flaming hot, orb that we are all traveling around? What is really funny is that the article keeps saying, “According to one scientist controversial take…” How is it controversial? It is more accurate than the “controversial” global warming theory!

Still believe that humans are causing Global Warming? or do you think SUV’s are on Mars and Jupiter? Maybe we should ship some Hybrids to them.

PS: Polar Bears can swim over 62 miles continuously. The Polar Bear population has been increasing rapidly since 1988! Polar Bears kill & eat baby seals. But don’t let facts get in the way.

Wonder why Gas is so high?

• So far congress has said no drilling in the ANWR,
• no drilling off the coast of Florida and California,
• we’re not getting any new 100-year leases to drill in the Gulf while China and Venezuela and Cuba are going in.
• Congress, as well as all three presidential candidates, said there’s a cap and trade legislation that will increase the price of gas according to the EPA by $1.50 a gallon.
• We’re shutting down oil fields in Colorado,
• we won’t develop shale oil fields in western states.
• Yesterday — love this — we pass legislation that let us sue OPEC. I’m sure they’re not going to retaliate.
• We have allowed environmental attorneys to sue the oil companies for possible future destruction of an Alaskan Eskimo village.
• We also have protected the polar bear and its habitat right where the oil deposits are located.
• We’re talking about seizing windfall profits, won’t allow anybody to drill in some small areas — no, I’m sorry. We have allowed them to drill in small areas in Alaska while creating very generous environmental laws that have tied up the very production because the oil companies are in court.
• We’ve also not allowed anybody to build a new refinery for 30 years.
• In fact, we’ve cut our operational refineries in half since 1982.
• We won’t develop coal-to-oil, and also
• we’re telling the oil companies which blends they have to make.

What — these evil oil companies, why is the price of gas so high?”

Running Again

Yup… I’m Running Again! Some of you know that last year, I started to run again and train for a 5K. We ran “Race for the Cure” in Fayetteville last year and it was a TON of fun. YEARS ago, I was marathon training and then a piece of my knee fell off and I had to have surgery and all of that jazz, so I didn’t run for a LONG time (until last year).

When we started out that training process, I set a Goal of running the Race for the Cure 5K. Well, I did that, but I didn’t have any other goals lined up after that, other than a Marathon… one day. Well, this time, I’ve set a LIST of goals to complete on my way to a marathon!

On the left of this page you will see a link to my “run log“. I’d post running updates at Ray&Katie.com, but I think some of you may get tired of reading running stuff and it would fill the blog with training posts. I will probably copy race day posts into this blog. On the run log, I have posted my plan & my progress so you can keep up with where I am in my training and how things are going.

I’ve wanted to complete a marathon for about 6 years and I feel that I’m finally at a place that I can begin to pursue that goal again. Your prayers and support are appreciated! If you would like to join me on any of the above races, just let me know! I’d also love training partners. I don’t run fast! I’m super slow. If you are faster, feel free to run ahead and we can chat at the end of the run. I’m not great at talking while I run anyway. I get too busy trying to breathe!

Ocean Refrigerating Earth

An article came out today: “Ocean Cooling to Briefly Halt Global Warming, Researchers Say“.

Really? This is one of the stupidest articles on GW that I have ever read! The globe is cooling, but it is a temporary halt to global warming? I guess that is how “they” are going to deal with being wrong.

“If we don’t experience warming over the next 10 years, it doesn’t mean that greenhouse-gas warming is not with us,” Keenlyside said in an interview. “There can be natural fluctuations that may mask climate change in the short term.”

“Natural variations over the next 10 years might be heading in the cold direction,” Wood said. “If you run the model long enough, eventually global warming will win.”

COME ON! SERIOUSLY? This is such a stupid theory. Did you see Gore’s movie? The graph? He said we would have warming straight through the roof! What gives?

And what about GW Activist Ted Turner’s prediction that we would be eating each other in 30 years? Does this 10 year period push the 30 years to 40? Because I don’t know if I can wait that long. LOL

You remember in the 70’s how everyone thought we were cooling at such a rapid rate because of “Man” and we were headed to a  new ice age! What happened? The climate began to naturally change and got warmer.

NOW, something is coming true that I have said for a LONG time. The warming is reversing and the natural processes of Earth are much stronger than Man’s influence on this globe. Last April it snowed and was one of the coldest on record. This April was again one of the coolest on record

The world is not static. It is a dynamic, ever changing environment.

WHY DO “GREENIES” NEED GLOBAL WARMING SCIENCE?

Because many of them don’t believe in God. The movement that Global warming came out of was a “new agey, mother earth” movement that denied the existence of God. God SAYS to take care of the Earth and be a good steward of our environment. So, with no God… there is no real reason to care for the earth. Then they found a science that they push to “make” others take care of the World and vilify humanity. See, they can’t be “environmentalist” with no God and no Global Warming. It just doesn’t make sense, so they have to have one! What is really funny is that they chose to go with a scientific theory that has never been proven and takes more faith than faith in God! It is their Religion.

WHY DO “COMMIES” NEED GLOBAL WARMING SCIENCE?

Back then, a group joined up with the “green peacers”: the communist. I’m not kidding. That is why the original founder of Green Peace left! He said it was confusing and they weren’t sure what to do because the commies were agreeing with them. Now the movements are one. The commies need GW because they can use it to put INSANE demands on society to begin controlling that formerly “free” society with the ever increasing “regulation” that increases the governments power OVER the people vs empowerment OF the people. Like… requiring a certain light bulb, car, gas type, & requiring certain “emissions standards” that hamper capitalism and require businesses to rely on government control and regulation… or disallow the drilling of a “natural reserve” & disallow nuclear power (the cleanest most efficient form of power) that would FREE the US from foreign dependence on oil and lower our gas prices and keep us from burning our fuel supply (corn) encouraging other farmers to switch to corn causing a food shortage of wheats & other veggies… and there are many many more.
