Anyone remember science class? Photosynthesis? The process plants go through when they convert Carbon & Water & release Oxygen?
Tonight, on KNWA, they did a special report about “living green” and in it they suggested that more “greenys” are moving to synthetic grass yards to conserve water. I will accept 2 false premises for this question: #1. That we don’t know how to convert ocean water into fresh water (Distillation & we can even use Solar Power) & #2. Global Warming is happening & is bad (but it isn’t: Source 1 | Source 2)
Ok… so my question is, if the world turns to “synthetic yards” what is going to happen to the excess CO2 in the atmosphere due to the decrease in the CO2 that is converted into Oxygen through Photosynthesis? Doesn’t that contribute MORE to green house gas & further global warming? I don’t understand how this helps at all.
Plus, isn’t part of the reason that people “go green” because they want to support the “natural way of life”? This should mean that if you are in an area that cannot naturally support grass, you should learn to enjoy dirt or rock or move! I think trapping rain to water your lawn is a much better solution.
